My name is Melitza Weller. I have been in Human Resources for 4 years now. I started my career in the Medical field working with patients and providing customer service in trauma areas such as the Emergency room and Labor and Delivery. I wanted to gain different skills so I ended up going to a warehouse where I was introduced to Human Resources and fell in love with it. For the past 4 years I have been in many roles such as Project Management, Staffing Supervisor, HR Coordinator, On-site Supervisor and Payroll. I am also Bilingual in Spanish so I translate a lot of HR documents including Employee Handbooks and Benefits packet to provide a better understanding for the employees who speak a second language. I was not able to finish my Bachelors so I look for many different avenues to gain more knowledge and experience in my field. I listen to a lot of podcasts, attend webinars and do a lot of research on my own. I am currently studying for my SHRM certification. I am looking forward to what my future holds in the Human Resources world. I have also done volunteer work doing events, and speaking to children about their future.
